p 3 SHOW GIRL

My name is Lola; I am a showgirl with golden highlights in my hair and my nose up in the air. I can merengue and do the cha-cha, I try to be a star at dog shows near and far….dant da dant da Yes, my name is Lola, like the Lola in the song Copacabana by Barry Manilow. (I hope I wasn’t named after the Lola in the song by the Kinks, which would be weird) No matter, I am fab-u-lous. I wish I had thumbs so I could give myself two snaps up.
I watch my weight; my special food is precisely measured. I get plenty of exercise, practice my stance, my walk, my run, and thank goodness I don’t have to jump over hurdles like my cousin who performs on agility courses. My favorite routine is to practice my signature look, the ‘I don’t give a biscuit if I win or lose, but you can’t take your eyes off me’ look. My owner is constantly combing, brushing and trimming me, to make sure I look flawless. The training is grueling. I am ready; I am primped out because I really do give a biscuit. I want to be the very best!
Wow, this building is larger than most, so many fans. I get so anxious waiting, I am tempted to do a pirouette but I don’t dare for fear of messing up my perfectly coiffed tresses.
